Provenance: From the personal collection of Eveyln Dunbar

One of Austin's most sought-after etchings, published by the Twenty-One Gallery in  1929, in an edition of 75 (Campbell Dodgson 86), this unique artist's proof was given to Evelyn Dunbar, whilst a student at the Royal College of Art  by her tutor Robert Austin.

The deer were modeled after those he saw in Rome at the zoo in the Borghese Gardens.
